If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else. My friend and I came here around 9:20 PM on Monday(8/3) after watching a movie. We walked quite a distance because we had heard good things, but this ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in New York. Let’s start with the atmosphere. The lighting is unbelievably bright—more like sitting in a hospital cafeteria than a restaurant. There was absolutely no ambiance, no warmth, and nothing that made the place feel inviting. The service was even worse. Our server, a young man, acted as if serving us was a burden from the moment we sat down. No greeting. No smile. No “How are you?” No “Enjoy your meal.” No “Thank you” when he dropped off the check. Not even a goodbye as we walked out. I know everyone can have a bad day, but basic hospitality is the bare minimum. As for the food, the cold appetizer was incredibly bland and forgettable. The pork bun was decent, but nothing worth coming back for. Then my main course arrived—with a strand of hair tangled around the noodles. That instantly killed my appetite. We tried the braised beef noodles and the spicy beef noodles along with the taiwanese sausage. Everything was amazing, amazing portions!!!! Also tried the mango lemon slush, equally as amazing!!🩷🩷🩷 Highly highly recommend

I walked past this shop, checked the menu, and skimmed through some reviews and right away, the spicy beef noodle soup caught my eye. I ended up ordering it on a whim and, at first, wasn’t sure it was the best choice but it’s now the exact reason I’ll be coming back. I honestly loved the noodles, they stayed perfectly firm from start to finish. The flavor started off a bit subtle but gradually built into something really rich and satisfying. The beef portion was just right too very hearty and fulfilling without being overwhelmingly spicy. Overall, it was incredibly flavorful and tasty. Shoutout to the server as well she was kind, attentive, and very helpful, which made the experience even better. I didn’t happen to check out the restroom, but I did notice a small concern mentioned in another review, so I hope that’s something being taken care of.

We ordered a few item. The braised beef, tendon, tripe noodle soup was ok, the tendon was braised well, quite tasty but the beef and tripe were a bit bland. The Taiwanese fried pork chop was interesting. The outer layer was grainy which took some getting used to but the inside was a nice sweet caramelized flavor. The seasoned greens were bok choy with some strong flavored sauce which I wasn't a big fan of. Service was slow after the initial order. Our female waitress was out of sight a lot of the time, not sure what she was doing when there was only 1 other table besides ours. The guy waiter was quick and helpful even though he wasn't our waiter Overall, the price and taste is ok, not a place I'd strongly recommend.

Summary - I have been here now about three or four times and honestly, I enjoy this place downstairs toothpaste good service. I keep trying different things in interest. Something are too sweet but the beef noodle soup is great. Overall, pretty happy all the time. Food – so I’ve had many different things here beef noodle soup spicy not spicy pork chops sausage all the small side, dishes, and pleasantly impressed. Overall with everything. The soup remains my favorite. However, the spicy is too spicy the pork chop and the sausage we both both solid however they were a little sweeter than I normally would like and I can’t wish there was sticky rice. Atmosphere – it’s very cute and kind of hidden. It’s downstairs almost like basement so it’s not the staff is super attentive. Service is super fast and I just keep going back cause I feel at home. It’s very homie.
